Orchard Towers Head Instructor

Shihan Jackie Chong is the Head Instructor at the Orchard Towers Dojo, and he oversees the majority of the classes conducted at the Dojo. As a 5th degree black belt, former Uchi Deshi (inside student) in Japan, and very successful tournament competitor, Sensei Jackie has all the skills and knowledge to bring members to a new level of ability and understanding of Karate-do.

Shihan Jackie is also a "Teacher of teachers", as he has had his own students grade up to become full instructors in their own right.

Training times.
Regular Dojo training is from 8-10pm on Tuesdays and Fridays every week. Senior Belt training (Brown and Black belts) is on the last Wednesday of each month. The Fighter Training Program meets every Sunday at 10am.

Kata
There is a lesser known side of Kyokushin Karate, and that is the practice of Kata, the Forms of Karate. There are many levels of Kata, and the associated application of the movements. For a deeper understanding of Kyokushin Kata, the members at Orchard Towers Dojo look to Shihan Peter Chong, and Sensei Jackie Chong for guidance.

If you have ever wondered about the "Dance" that Karateka do, visit our Dojo and learn more about the depth of Kata.
